I. Introduction
This post gives a brief about the difference between daily employed workers and part time workers in definition and four key social insurance.
II. Definition
1) Daily employed worker
☞ Labor Standards Act : anemployee who offers labor less than three months
☞ Four key social insurance:an employee hired for less than one month and paid on a daily basis
2) Part-time employee
☞ Labor Standards Act: an employeewhose contractual work hours per week are shorter than those of a full-time employee engaged in the same kind of work at the workplace concerned.
☞ Four Key socialinsurance: an employee whose work hours per week shorter than 40 hours. Ultra-shortwork hour workers means an employee whose work hours per month are shorter than 60 hours and shorter than 15 hours a week.
☆ Daily employed worker means a person with short employment period being employed shorter than a month while part-time employee means a person with short work hours.

II. Criteria on the entitlement to Four Key Social Insurance
1) National Pension Scheme
☞ Daily employed worker: more thaneight days of work days per month or a month
☞ Part-time worker: longer than 60 work hours per month
2) Health Insurance
☞Daily employed worker: more than eight days of work days per month or a month
☞Part-time worker: longer than 60 work hours per month
3) Employment Insurance
☞Daily employed worker: all of daily employed workers
☞Part-time worker: longer than 60 work hours. Provided, when an employee ishired to make one's living for more than 3 months he or she is eligible toparticipate in the employment insurance and should report the acquisition of insured status.
4) Insurance Accident Compensation Insurance
☞Daily employed worker: all of daily employed workers
☞Part-time worker: all part-time workers
