Be faithful to the Principle, Stronger you will be

The whole Nation has been suffered from the MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) during past 2 months.

 

It is so sad to have the enormous losses in nationwide and also individual, and even in economic growth due to the MERS.

 

It still sticks in my memory to see the airport so empty as the number of Chinese tourists sharply dropped after the MERS outbreak.  But it is just a tip of iceberg, we cannot say enough about the invisible losses in our everyday life.  It is my regret that the economic fallout, the aftereffects of MERS with which we should overcome, could last long for the considerable period time.  Business people who operate the enterprises worry about the consumption decrease which results in decrease of sales.       

 

The various counter measures including supplementary budget to cope with MERS scare are being set up, but I assume that it could not work properly in every single area

 

It will, it should be healed up gradually as time goes by.  But when I look back, I think we could have avoided this kind of outbreak so seriously.   

 

There has been a lot of imaginary scenario on the spread of MARS by media, but the ‘cause' could be clarified and the ‘solution' could be found easily when it all has passed through.  So does for this case.  And I'd like to take this opportunity to review on the Basics, as it applies same not only to the operation of enterprises but also to the Nation.

 

If staff members in hospital had more focused on their own roles in their workplace each where MERS was connected through, and if they had followed principles more thoroughly with action manual kept handy, the MERS could have been reined in the spread. 

 

If the staff members in the best hospital in our country had been more unpretentious without their vague conceit, if they had checked the process according to the manual with self-questioning, ‘am I dealing with process in principle?, then it could have been managed properly at early stage.   

 

Having the country brains and the best medical technologies equipped without principles grounded on, they could not help but have themselves being the butt of ridicule

 

No information could be controlled in this Internet era.  A try to manage the issue creates more problem.  Due to the government's slipshod response to the MERS at the beginning stage, it failed to have ‘a stitch in time saves nine'

 

When the digressive and derivative points are considered too much to decide the actions, it could be easily mistimed 

 

Any decision making for the enterprise or social matters should be made based on the clear principle.  Otherwise, it should pay it for with an equivalent opportunity costs if the preposterous decision was made.  And it will be a burden on the people in the Nation, and also a shared burden for shareholders, management and employees in enterprises.        

 

If we have the wisdom to learn lessons from the failure, this experience could be paid off by upgrading ourselves to the next level.

 

People say about the ‘communication' a lot these days, and I believe the ‘transparency' is a prerequisite for the communication.  It is the beginning of the communication to open ‘information' transparently.  (*this means to have information open to the public what is supposed to be publicized.)

 

Communication is the most important factor to be a strong organization..  Good communication makes the synergy doubled in the organization.  And the Basics should be clearly set up in any enterprise or any social organization.  And the members should be devoted to play their own roles as per the manual.  

 

Where the fundamental principle is based solid, the organization is surely strong
